No info about this car, but it was so cool.

Lil dakota that could. This truck is hell on wheels. For something this un-areo it hauls the mail. Been 208 I was told on the salt. Super nice folks too out of Nevada.

E.J. Kowalski and the gang from Penn. made the trec out to bonneville this year with their bad ass roadster. Flathead powered on alcohol I believe. Car (and tow truck) and helmet are awesome. They had some hard luck with some suspension trouble and a head gasket that cut their speed week short. Hopefully they will be running at Maxton more.

Oh here comes a few Ferraris....But what the hell is that?
Turns out this is a one off custom built bodied car by Bertone Mantide based on a new zr1 vette. Later found out that the car had just been released from customs in NY and was on its way to pebble beach. What are the chances that a car like this would pass us running nearly 90 in the middle of the country.

Rear portion of the lsr Datsun. Many more bars to add but its a start.
Cuz's bike. 197# cb750

Talk about bad juju. Bob Johnson from Georgia owned this caddy. It was built a few years ago by Allen Johnson Hot Rods. Bob ran the car numerous times at bonneville and set a few records including one at this years speed week. The car was never meant to stay in one piece though. It started life as any new caddy would I guess. But soon found itself submerged in water down around the gulf. It was a victim of Katrina. That answers the question of why would someone take a 50k+ new late model and build a racecar huh. Well the car is gone now, this time for good. Bob wrecked the car last week at bonneville and totaled it. He had had problems at speed week even going the correct direction but this time it really ended bad. He wasn't hurt I hear bad the silver caddy is no more...

But Spud's Datsun is coming along nicely!

My little sifter "Spud" riding on the salt on her first bike. '74 Honda CB360. She had never road a bike before in her life until she got to Bonneville. What a place to say you learned to ride huh?

And the Datsun is planned to run at Maxton and Bonneville next year. With a 46" roof height and the stock inline 6 set back nearly 10" toward the rear with an estimated 15:1 comp. it should look and sound like a million bucks when we get it done.

Worked late in the garage last night with Jake building a track stand for his SV650. All thats left is mount a set of wheels and make the studs for the swingarm.

Also in the process of building myself a rigid using a sportster/Buell powerplant. Running Invaders on both ends.
Coolest belly tanker on the salt, Old Crow Speed Shop. Really nice bunch of folks.
Speed Demon just shy of the one mile mark on a 370+ mph pass.

Here is the first of many pictures I took while at bonneville during speed week.
Here it is, I've finally jumped on the wagon with the rest of the idiots in the world. I refuse to do the myspace and facebook jive, but this is sweet and simple. None of that high school type drama, if someone wants to read and look at my pictures then more power to um. If they don't then oh well, their loss. Most of this blog will consist of anything car truck motorcycle or mechanical, so dont get your hopes up that this will be some kinda porno.

Welcome one and all. Step right up. See the show. Don't be scared.
